Mobile Voice and Data Provider

Tue, 13 Jan 2015 05:30:00 GMT

The current contract for mobile voice and data with EE has now expired and so we plan to migrate all connections to our new provider, 02 network.

The new agreement offers us substantial savings compared with the old contract especially in terms of monthly data costs which are around 50% cheaper than the old contract.

The migration to the new contract will involve:

  • Purchasing all future new connections from 02
  • Moving existing 02 accounts to the new tariff structure as soon as possible
  • Migrating EE data-only connections by the end of January 2015
  • Undertaking a phased migration (by school and service) of all EE voice-only and voice-and-data connections.

Telephone Services will be contacting managers and budget holders shortly to discuss how the migration will affect individual schools and services and to offer assistance with auditing current connections. This is the ideal opportunity to tidy up and cease any unused connections.

Information regarding the new tariff structures will be published on the Telephone Services web pages shortly, but in the meantime please contact Anne-Marie Greenwood, Operations Manager (Telecoms and IT Purchasing), with any queries.
