Activity Clinic Classes

The University of Huddersfield has worked over a number of months with Kirklees Council to set up some exercise classes to work in conjunction with their Practice Activity and Leisure Scheme (PALS). The scheme is one of the longest running and most successful Exercise Referral Schemes available in the country.
The classes will be open to those suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, joints problems and a variety of health conditions. The classes are now open to University staff and students who would benefit from a low level supervised session and will cost only £2.35.
The following two classes will now be held at the University Sports Centre in Student Central and will be run by exercise specialists. See more information about the sessions taking place at the University below:
Health Improvement Class
Every Monday
11.00am-12.00pm
A Specialist Exercise Instructor will deliver a Health Improvement Class. This is a gentle activity class for those who may have a medical condition requiring supervision. It is suitable for anyone wanting to get fit in a supportive environment.
Health Improvement Circuit
Every Friday
1.00pm-2.00pm
A Specialist Exercise Instructor will deliver a Health Improvement Circuit class. This is a gentle circuit class that aims to build up stamina, strength and suppleness. It is suitable for anyone who wants to become more active.
