Never published an academic paper before and want to know more about the process?

Do you have an academic paper underway or under revision that you would like to get published but not sure how to pass the final hurdle?

If so, you are warmly invited to join the GAMBI Research Group for this ‘kick-start’ writing for publication workshop on 11 and 12 January 2016.

Academic writing and publishing is a critical aspect of being a successful scholar, particularly as promotion, tenure and effective teaching rely on publications in leading journals.

The aim of this workshop is to: nourish and sustain professional development; energise, motivate and strengthen your skills and confidence in academic writing; unveil the mystery of the publication process; and help you make informed decisions about your path to successful publication.

Excellent opportunities will be provided throughout the event for networking, peer-support, sharing of ideas and gaining insights from established and experienced editors. We have secured the participation of some eminent guests who are actively involved in publishing and reviewing for some of the leading academic journals in the marketing field. You can read their biographies at the link below.

The workshop is designed to match the needs of participants at different stages of the writing process. We invite all academic and research staff at the University and further afield to join us for what promises to be a valuable and rewarding event in your journey towards publication.

You don’t need to have a finished paper to get something out of the workshop. Bring your draft, or just bring your idea.
