Dr Arianna Giovannini has recently acted as guest editor (with Dr Daniele Albertazzi, University of Birmingham) of a special edition of the Journal of Modern Italian Studies (vol. 20, issue 4, 2015). The Journal of Modern Italian Studies (JMIS) is one of the foremost English language journals for scholarly debate on modern Italy, but also explores themes relevant to Italy in transnational contexts.
The special issue co-edited by Dr Giovannini is entitled 'Italy after the 2013 general election'. As part of this project, she has also co-authored the introduction to the volume, 'Surviving the perfect storm: Italy after the 2013 general election'. The special issue and article are available at www.tandfonline.com/toc/rmis20/current.
Dr Giovannini has also organised a conference on Italian politics as seen from abroad in the city of Urbino (pictured above).
