Coast at risk – the importance of risk knowledge

Book of abstracts of “DEVELOPMENT OF DISASTER RESILIENT COASTAL COMMUNITIES TO ENHANCE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL WELFARE” has now been published summarising the activities of the multi-disciplinary workshop that was conducted to support the development of more resilient coastal communities.

Accordingly, this is based on a 5-day multi-disciplinary workshop that aimed to build capacity for the development of disaster resilient, connected coastal communities that are able better able to tackle the threat posed by coastal hazards. Through sharing works and experience of different coastal hazards, resilience building and coping mechanisms, and the development of a roadmap, the workshop stimulated long term links between the UK and Indonesia.
