Cycle to Work Day

It’s Cycle to Work day on Thursday 3 September and there is a range of activities for staff who cycle to work, or want to start cycling, to participate in.
Dr Bike session on Tuesday 1 September, 1.00pm - 2.00pm
This quick session provides advice and guidance on solving those niggling problems including general bike checks, oiling, comfort changes, brake adjustments and gear advice. Email: Chris.Wilson@Sustrans.org.uk letting him know that you want to attend and what you want to achieve from the session which will meet at the iPoint in Student Central.
Bike Maintenance Workshop on Tuesday 1 September, 5.00pm – 7.00pm
If you are interested in attending this workshop email: Chris.Wilson@Sustrans.org.uk letting him know that you would like to attend and what you want to achieve from the workshop. This could include: bike checking and solving problems that are more time consuming such as punctures, fitting new tires, new chains, new cables and simple wheel truing. Those attending will meet at the iPoint in Student Central.
FREE bike breakfast on Thursday 3 September, 7.30am – 9.00am at Caffe Venecia
If you already cycle to work or have thought about cycling to work and want to find out more you can come along to Caffe Venecia on Market Street in Huddersfield town centre on Thursday 3 August from 7.30am to 9.00am for a free hot drink, muffin, some goodies and a chat.
Led rides into work on Thursday 3 September, 8.10am – 9.00am
Kirklees Council has developed a range of led rides into the town centre from various parts of Huddersfield. Visit Huddersfield Active Travel for more details.
Cycle Kirklees Consultation Group Meeting on Thursday 3 September, 6.30pm – 9.00pm in Student Central
