University celebrates World Mental Health Week

World Mental Health Day logo On Monday 6 October, Wednesday 8 October and Friday 10 October, the University's Wellbeing and Disability Services will present films based on the subject of mental health in the Wellbeing and Disability Workshop room, on level 4 in Student Central at 5.30pm.

In celebration of World Mental Health Day, 10 October 2014

Wellbeing and Disability Services, in conjunction with the School of Human and Health Sciences, is holding an event to celebrate World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

According to the Mental Health Foundation, every year one in four people will experience some kind of mental health problem, with mixed anxiety and depression being the most common mental disorder in Britain.

From 11.30am to 2.30pm free Tea & Chat - and cake, for a small donation - will be available with external organisations and University staff on hand to talk and provide information to anyone worried or concerned about mental health or other wellbeing issues.  The event is based in the atrium of the Central Services Building and the foyer, level 4, of Student Central.
