Prof.Simon Iwnicki and the Rolling Stock Summer School

The Rolling Stock Summer School an event targeting European Railway Engineering students starting a postgraduate degree in a rolling stock related topic, and for early career researchers within rail. The aim of the event is to give students a broad introduction to rolling stock and an insight into the latest research.

The course also aims to build up links between different institutions across Europe and to provide students with an initial network of contacts that should be useful throughout their career.

This year’s event took place in Poland on 8th – 12th September 2014 and was organised in cooperation with two European technical universities and the University of Huddersfield’s Professor Simon Iwnicki.

The workshop was attended by 19 participants from eight EU Countries and students participated in lectures given by experts from Universities and industry across Europe, on topics related to their expertise and experience.
