New University email signature

Mon, 27 Oct 2014 05:15:00 GMT

As the University continues to gain recognition for the outstanding work that is happening here at Huddersfield, we have seen an increasing number of updates to the University email signature with the addition of new awards logos each year. This has led to everyone being asked to update their signature on a regular basis to accommodate these new awards.

After much experimentation a solution has been found which allows the bar containing our award logos to be automatically applied to all outgoing emails.  This means that in the future everyone will only need to keep personal information up to date, and in some cases, update key information such as promoting Open Day dates.

The move to an automated system will require one final update from everyone across the campus in order to remove the logo bar from current signatures so this is not duplicated when the logos are applied automatically. Please visit the following webpage (https://www.hud.ac.uk/services/marketing/corporate-email-signature/ - you will need to input your username and password to access the file to download instructions showing you how to update your signature.

The automated awards bar will be applied from Friday 24 October which gives a two week period for everyone to update their signature. Please can you ensure that your signature is updated by this date to ensure the information remains clear and easy to read by external contacts.

Please note: The instructions provided are for users of Outlook 2007 and 2010. The new signature cannot be applied using Webmail.

If you have any queries regarding this please contact James Leah on extension 1279 or Alex Smith on extension 2678.
