It’s time to put on your dancing shoes, even if you can’t dance. Getting fit ‘strictly style’ is coming to the University.
'Strictly Come Dancing’ dance stars Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite have teamed up with six time world champion swimmer Mark Foster, a former Strictly contestant and an expert in fitness and conditioning, to produce a unique dance and fitness programme called ‘FitSteps’.
They have combined, for the first time, the best known and most popular Latin and Ballroom dances with proven fitness techniques, to develop a dance and fitness programme that is capable of delivering fast fitness results, with a heap of fun thrown in.
Team Hud is trialling the classes on, Tuesday 2 and Tuesday 9 December from 1.15pm to 1.45pm with a view to introducing them to the timetable after Christmas.
So, if you want to take to the floor and FitStep your way to a new you, all you need to do is contact the reception staff at the University Sports Centre (Level 3 in Student Central) and book yourself in tel: 01484 47(2093). You will be led by Natasha Fowler and Laurie Nettleton who are accredited FitSteps Flair One instructors.
Early booking is advised.
