Congratulations to Kay Booth (one of the Cleaning team in the Creative Arts Building) who has raised £348.00 for Kirkwood Hospice with her latest fundraising activities.  The University has links with this local hospice including placements for some of our students from the School of Human and Health Sciences.

Kay is part of Dee’s group, a group of six volunteers, who have been raising money for charity for many years. Kay’s latest fundraising activity was making Easter Nests, which are sweet chocolate treats.  These nests proved to be a popular choice with staff here at the University with Kay receiving 150 orders.  Last year the group raised an impressive £7,000 with tombolas, jam making, knitting and more!

“I appreciated everyone’s generosity and will be back with more ideas soon.  I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at the University for their support,” said Kay.Kay Booth and Liz Cutts

Well done Kay!

Sharing the good news is Kay's sister, Liz Cutts, who also works here at the University as a Campus Support Officer (pictured right).
