Steve Lyon is shortlisted for the CPHV Awards 2014

Steve Lyon, Senior Lecturer in Nursing is one of the three UK finalists shortlisted for the Community Practitioner and Health Visitor Awards (CPHVA). The award is under the training category and Steve has been peer nominated for his work in the development of health visitor skills in providing psychological interventions.
Steve is a Senior Lecturer within the University’s School of Human and Health Sciences. He is also an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and has a Counselling Diploma. His most recent publication, ‘Educating health visitors for their new role: psychological interventions’ described a two-day training workshop, designed around the needs of health visitors in respect of changes to their role.
Being shortlisted for the award is an incredible accomplishment in which Steve’s extraordinary work and professional achievement has been acknowledged. The CPHVA will take place in London on 28 March 2014.
