Nowruz (New Year) Celebrations

Nowruz (New Year) is an event celebrated in many countries across the world and you are warmly invited by the University's Kurdish student society to celebrate the event with them on Friday 21 March, 12.00pm to 3.00pm, in the Central Services Building atrium.
Come along and discover more about this tradition and why the Kurdish people are celebrating the first day of the year ‘2714’.
Traditional music and dance will be showcased, you can see traditional clothing and food for you to enjoy. It's also a great opportunity to talk to some of our Kurdish students and learn a little more about Kurdistan.
