Professor Collins Ntim, Financial Ethics and Governance Research Group, FEGReG The Financial Ethics and Governance Group (FEGReG), based at the University of Huddersfield Business School, has a new director, Professor Collins Ntim

Professor Ntim – who joined from the University of Southampton in January - is an expert on corporate governance and has published widely in journals such as Accounting Forum, Corporate Governance: An International Review, International Review of Financial Analysis and Journal of Business Ethics.  His current research focuses on accounting (corporate governance and financial reporting), accountability and ethics, and finance.

Dean of the Business School, Professor Chris Cowton, who founded FEGReG in 2007, expressed his pleasure at this recent development.  “Financial ethics and governance have been at the heart of the Business School’s research on responsible business.  I was delighted that we were able to appoint someone of Collin’s calibre, and I am sure that the Group will go from strength to strength under his leadership.  I look forward to working closely with him.”

Collins said: “I am highly honoured to be given the important responsibility of leading this very successful research group. Chris’ leadership and effort in establishing and developing the group as an excellent research group on governance and financial ethics both nationally and internationally has been outstanding and I hope we can build on that in the coming months.

To build on the group’s current national and international presence, I am glad to say that our seminar series in the 2014/15 academic year will be delivered by distinguished external and internal academics and practitioners.

Going forward, we will focus on building further internal and external research collaborations and on completing current research projects.

Special emphasis will be placed on securing significant external research grant to fund the Group’s research activities.”
