Following an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the opening of the Legal Advice Clinic (LAC) in the Town Centre, the University of Huddersfield Legal Advice Clinic has been shortlisted for Best New Pro Bono Activity by LawWorks. The Attorney General Student Pro Bono Awards 2014 which are supported by the Law Society take place in London on 1 April and four of the Law Clinic team will be heading down to the House of Commons with hopes of coming back to Huddersfield with the award.

The Legal Advice Clinic (LAC) was opened in 2013 and offers free (‘pro-bono’) assistance to those who need it most in a commitment backed by £1/4m of investment from the University.
