The Institute for Research in Citizenship and Applied Human Sciences (IRCAHS) has published six short films, which provide a few examples of the wide variety of applied social science research undertaken at the University of Huddersfield.
Each lasting no longer than 10 minutes, the films cover a variety of research examples:
- Child sexual abuse
- Designing out crime
- Risk thinking in contemporary society
- Social psychology of parenting
- Street-based injecting drug use
In his introductory film, Professor John Playle, Dean of the School of Human and Health Sciences comments, “I’m delighted to introduce a series of short films which are designed to showcase just some examples of our excellent research to the wider public, in a way that I hope you will find both accessible and interesting.”
The films are available to view online and you can also find out more information about the Institute by visiting the webpages.
