Arabic Day

Hosted by our international student societies, Arabic day takes place on campus on Wednesday 19 March, from 11.00am to 3.00pm. There will be a taste and celebration of the Middle-East and Arabia.
If you have ever wanted to learn more about countries in this part of the world or even learn the language then this is for you.
There will be students from the U.A.E, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and many other countries participating who will be happy to discuss their cultures and allow you to sample some traditional food, clothes and Arabic coffee.
Traditional music and instruments will be showcased as well as a chance to see members of the University’s Belly-Dancing society. There will also be some Arabic language workshops throughout the event.
