Baking is definitely in the blood for Marketing graduate Lucy Ardern. Lucy is not only a keen baker herself, but did her supervision on the development of the baking trend whilst studying for her degree here at Huddersfield. The hard work paid off and Lucy won the Frank Withey’s Strategic Marketing prize as well as graduating with a first class honours degree!
It is extremely fitting that Lucy is now an Assistant Brand Manager for the iconic malt loaf Soreen. Lucy has been busy assisting with 75th anniversary book for Soreen which tells the journey of the brand dating back to its origins in 1938 right through to present day.
Lucy said: “We’re proud of our heritage and we’ve produced a wonderful publication to help us commemorate our anniversary. It tells the story of ‘Soreen – 75 years in the baking’ and how we’ve grown from a family run business in the back streets of Manchester to an international brand in 2014. We are delighted with it.”
