Chemistry PhD Success

As well as celebrating with graduands at the Awards Ceremonies which were held on campus this week, we are also able to congratulate Chemistry PhD student Ahmed Elmekawy who successfully defended his thesis in his viva voce examination.
The external examiner was impressed with both the quality of Ahmed's thesis, entitled "Bifunctional Supported Catalysts for Fine Chemical Synthesis", and the breadth of his knowledge in this area.
We congratulate both Ahmed and his supervisor Prof Rob Brown, and look forward to seeing him at the next Awards Ceremony.
