Introducing the iPoint

iPoint team The iPoint is a brand new service located at the entrance to Student Central.  The team are there to help students, staff and visitors in a friendly, customer-focussed environment. 

Who are they?

The team is made up of five permanent members of staff who are led by Customer Support Manager, Kathryn Hobson.  (Pictured from left: Phil Scaife, Kelly Walsh, Kathryn Hobson, Mark Westmacott, Charlotte Bartley and Kyle Yearwood).  The iPoint also employs a team of Student Associates who are all currently studying here at the University.

What do they do?iPoint

If you require any type of support and don’t know where to turn, please come and visit the iPoint and they will help you to find the support you need.

Should you need help locating a building or room on campus, come and speak to them and they will escort you to your location.

The iPoint team is responsible for producing student ID cards, council tax exemption certificates and bank letters.  They can help you to access more complex support such as financial guidance or support for a disability from other teams within the University, many of whom are located just behind the iPoint in Student Central.

They have a bank of PCs that you are welcome to come and use to access the Student Portal, web payments and the online store.

Opening Hours

They are open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm and are planning to introduce a telephone helpline and an email enquiry service later in the year.  You can follow them on social media: Twitter: @iPoint_team and Facebook: Ipoint Team
