Ibrahem Alshbili is a PhD student at the University of Huddersfield, Business School. He just presented his first year research progress to the EMERGE group titled “An investigation into corporate social responsibility disclosure in Libya: A study of non-financial companies sector”.
The overall aim of his research is to investigate the extent, types and factors influencing CSRD practices of non-financial companies operating in Libya in the light of the country’s political environment changes. The seminar included a presentation of Ibrahem’s research background, empirical, theoretical and based policy gaps, objectives, questions and expected contribution to knowledge. A mixed method study involving secondary and primary data is proposed to be used in order to meet the research aim and objectives. The research study is expected to contribute to knowledge on three levels: empirical, theoretical and policy levels.
