Funding success for CRISS researcher

Centre for Research in the Social Sciences researcher, Dr Jo Woodiwiss has recently been awarded a research grant by the National Children’s Research Centre.
Dr Jo Woodiwiss, Senior Lecturer in Sociology and member of the Centre for Research in the Social Science (CRISS), has recently been awarded a research grant by the National Children’s Research Centre.
The research for the funded project will focus on social worker students’ engagement with narratives of adoption. The study will commence in August/September 2014 and run for eight months.
Dr Woodiwiss has also recently published an article in the journal Sexualities entitled ‘Beyond a single story – the importance of separating ‘harm’ from ‘wrongfulness’ and ‘sexual innocence’ from ‘childhood’ in contemporary narratives of childhood sexual abuse’, Vol. 17 (1/2) 139–158 (2014).
