International Day of People with Disabilities

International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPwD) is celebrated on 3 December each year.
The Human and Health Sciences Public Partnership Group, in collaboration with the University Disability Services, is celebrating this day in Student Central on Wednesday 3 December from 10.00am to 12.00noon. Everyone is welcome to come along for refreshments and to have a chat to find out more about the group.
The International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPwD) has grown out of the success of the International Year of Disabled People 1981. The focus of the day aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disabilities and celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities.
