A group of students from Food and Nutrition attended the first ever 'Food Matters Live' conference at the London Excel.

During the three days there were 300 seminar speakers with topics covering the latest cutting edge research in areas such as 'Immune Health', 'Gut Health', 'Cognitive Health', and 'New Product Development'.  The conference is supported by industry bodies including the Association for Nutrition, the Institute of Food Science and Technology and the Association of UK Dietitians.

There were conferences and live demonstrations covering a range of exciting food and nutrition related topics and many new products were showcased on stands on the exhibition floor.

This conference was a great opportunity for our students to network with food industry leaders and engage in food nutrition and health subjects.   Students can visit the Food Matters Live website to view the 2014 PowerPoint presentations and register their interest in the 2015 conference.

After attending the Food Matters Live event, the four students all agreed that this was an exciting and inspiring opportunity and that this is a must see event for 2015 as it provides a great insight into the career opportunities in this field.
