ABC Syringe: The ICON Awards 2014

Following on from being nominated earlier this year by the London Design Museum for Product Design of the Year Dr David Swann's transformative ABC syringe project continues to attract global attention. Over the past few weeks the ABC syringe has: been nominated for the Socially Responsible Design of the Year 2014 in the prestigious ICON Awards; exhibited to 160,000 visitors in Taipei's City Government's Design and City expo; highlighted by the Design Council's as an example of pioneering health tech; selected by UKTI to feature within Innovate UK 2014 - global spotlight on innovation event that attracted 2000 visitors over two days; and finally the ABC syringe will be a centrepiece exhibit in France's 2015 Biennale International Design, Saint-Etienne.
