Vice-Chancellor Professor Bob Cryan welcomed back former Vice Chancellor Professor John Tarrant to officially open the Student Central Boardroom on Monday 7 April.
Professor John Tarrant was Vice Chancellor here at the University for 11 years, having taken on the role in 1995.
“I am proud and honoured to have welcomed Professor John Tarrant back to the University of Huddersfield,” said Professor Bob Cryan.
“The pride stems from the fact that we have a wonderful new building to show off. This boardroom is just one small component of a suite of facilities, including sports, leisure, catering, social space and a range of student services, which has been up and running for just a few weeks and yet it is already the heartbeat of the University and feels as if it has been here for years.”
