Surface topography event - Wednesday 6 November

NPL, the UK's National Measurement Institute, is organising a surface topography event on Wednesday 6 November in Coventry jointly hosted by Measurement Network and the MTC. The event will present some of the latest advances in the measurement, characterisation and use of structured surfaces

Professor Liam Blunt, research leader at the EPSRC Centre, is one of the speakers at this full day event and will present "the state-of-the-art in areal surface topography characterisation". The meeting will also include a UK launch of the new NPL areal calibration artefacts.

The meeting is aimed at:

  • Advanced manufacturers - especially those involved in engineering, and component and product manufacturers
  • Scientific, research and academia involved in surface technologies
  • Instrument and scientific (measurement) equipment manufacturers and designers.
