The latest FEGReG researcher to complete his PhD is Dr Osama Ben Mansour.  Using data from his native Libya, Osama’s successful thesis is entitled ‘Transparency and Disclosure, Company Characteristics and Financial Performance: A Study of the Emerging Libyan Stock Market’.

It was supervised by Director of FEGReG, Professor Chris Cowton, and former colleague Dr Debbie Allcock.  The external examiner was Professor Claire Marston of Heriot Watt University.  Professor Cowton commented: “I am delighted for Osama. He has worked very diligently to produce a systematic and comprehensive study of transparency and disclosure in Libya – a study that will provide a valuable foundation for future researchers as the Libyan economy develops.
