Paul Ward continues to work on his study of the Beefeaters and Britishness at the Tower of London. He has given keynote and public lectures across the last year using a wide variety of cultural representations to illustrate his argument that the Beefeaters act as a symbol to represent the longevity of English history, providing underpinning for the monarchy and Englishness in a rapidly changing world since 1826.
