A Facebook site has been created which is solely dedicated to Criminology at the University of Huddersfield. The platform has been set up for students, staff and others who share an interest in the subject.
Managed by Criminology lecturers and researchers, the Facebook page promotes interaction between students, lecturers, researchers and supporters and is a platform that will allow the dissemination of on-going research projects and case studies that are being carried out by the University.
Carla Reeves, Subject Leader in Criminology said, “Facebook is great way to share what's happening in criminology at the University of Huddersfield to a wider audience. Our criminology staff and students are continually engaged in new and interesting work that we want to talk to people about; from research, developing policy, visiting speakers and conference presentations to collaborations with partners in practice.”
Leanne Monchuk, Criminology Research Assistant added, “Facebook is a great way of disseminating information about the work we do here in the Applied Criminology Centre. We regularly post details about research projects, publications, conferences and visitors”.
Not only does the group share their latest projects and findings, the page also communicates local and world news stories which are directly aligned to the Criminology degree. Students are encouraged to share their opinions and discussion is encouraged.
If you are a Criminology student or have an interest in Criminology and would like to keep updated with the latest news surrounding the subject, simply like the ‘Criminology at the University of Huddersfield’ Facebook page.
