A representative from Health Shield will be visiting the University on Monday 25 November from 9.00am till 3.00pm to offer membership to staff. They will be located in the staff lounge and are offereing a free Champagne & Chocolates draw for those who join. Also free sports watches to the first 10 members of staff who go and find out more details on Health Shield.

There are 6 levels of cover to choose from for you, or for you and your partner, and dependent children (up to age 18) are covered whichever option you select. Health Shield will refund 100% of your treatment costs up to your chosen annual limit.
University of Huddersfield employees receive favourable corporate rates from only £1.35 per week. If you join with Teresa Hignett, your local Health Shield Development Officer, you will be eligible for immediate benefit cover**, meaning that qualifying periods are waived allowing you instant access to most benefits (cover will begin on the date the first deduction is taken from your salary).
