Staff and students from the University’s Podiatry clinic have teamed up with colleagues from Activa Healthcare to offer free leg health checks, as part of Activa’s LegHealth Campaign.

For one day only, Wednesday 4 December 2013, members of the public will be able to speak to a podiatrist who can perform free leg examinations, offer advice regarding leg health and answer any questions they may have.

The LegHealth Campaign aims to raise awareness of the various conditions that can affect our legs such as common conditions like tired aching legs, swollen ankles and varicose veins, to the more serious leg wounds that require the help of a healthcare professional.

The day will be staffed by third year Podiatry BSc(Hons) students at the University’s state of the art Podiatry clinic.

If you suffer from any of the conditions above and would like some free advice, then don’t hesitate to book an appointment now by calling 08450 606707. Consultations are available from 9.30am-3.30pm and take approximately 10-15 minutes.
