Huddersfield research paper published in prestigious journal

A research paper co-authored by Huddersfield Pharmaceutical Scientist Dr Alan Smith (pictured) has been published in the prestigious Americal Chemical Society journal Biomacromolecules.
The paper by Dr Smith and his collaborators from the Universities of Birmingham and Newcastle entitled "Alginate Hydrogel Has a Negative Impact on in Vitro Collagen 1 Deposition by Fibroblasts" provides details of a study into matrix deposition by fibroblasts encapsulated within a calcium alginate (Ca-alg) hydrogel.
The paper was also featured in the Extracellular Matrix News newsletter this week.
