Grand Challenges for the 21st Century

The National Academy of Engineering in the US has identified 14 "Grand Challenges"* that graduate engineers can play a role in solving.
At Huddersfield, we believe that the best engineers are required to tackle the most important challenges and we are actively seeking to attract the best graduate engineers in the world to join us on PhD programmes and address these challenges.
The School of Computing and Engineering offers two full fee-waiver scholarships** to outstanding international student applicants wishing to pursue research in fields allied to the following National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenges for 21st Century:

If you have recently graduated in an engineering or relevant scientific discipline, are from outside of the United Kingdom and are eager to tackle the world’s most pressing engineering challenges then please fill out an online application form today.
Please indicate "Engineering Grand Challenge" under "General Subject that you wish to study" and list the specific challenge that interests you under "Specific speciality". Award of the Grand Challenge Scholarships will be made competitively on an annual basis.
