The FEGReG seminar on 24 March 2010 was given by Robert Taylor, a regular participant in FEGReG activities.
Based on his experience of working on the Environ Trust (now Sustainable Leaders’ Trust) at CIS, Robert gave fascinating insights into the practical challenges in applying ethics to investment when undertaking socially responsible investment (SRI). One of his key points was that, although applying ethics involves judgement, a critical challenge is to establish the “facts of the matter”, when perspectives on the issues that arise are often driven by campaigning groups.
