Kuki Taylor, Assistant to the Chief Exectutive of the Bar Pro Bono Unit at the National Pro Bono Centre in London, visited the Business School this July to discuss the Legal Advice Clinic and the services the Bar Pro Bono unit provides.

The work of the Legal Advice Clinic was presented by students Jessica Carlin, Rosie Webster and Jake Moore and the opportunity to view the shop plans for a town-centre based advice clinic were on display.

Kuki commented: “I found the Jake, Jess and Rosie’s presentation incredibly powerful and deeply encouraging for not just the pro bono community in Huddersfield but to the pro bono community and free advice agencies across the UK.  The spirit and sense of social responsibility evoked by the students was a clear testament to the hard work and inspiration from the Law Team at Huddersfield.

“I very much look forward to returning soon to spend more time discussing how we can work an effective partnership for our applicants.”
