Forensic Toxicologist Dr Peter Maskell joins the University

Dr Peter Maskell, a Forensic Toxicologist, will be joining the forensic science team in the School of Applied Sciences on the 1st October 2013 as a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science.

Peter has a PhD in Pharmacology from Oxford Brookes University and comes here from the University of Dundee where he developed courses in Forensic Toxicology. During this time, he was also quality manager of the Forensic Toxicology service which receives many samples from unexplained death cases. Peter is also research active in novel psychoactive compounds and post-mortem drug redistribution.

Peter's research has been reported by news media including the BBC, Daily Mail and the Independent.

We look forward to welcoming Dr Maskell in October.
