Hana Benesova, a second year PGR student at the University of Huddersfield, presented a seminar to the EMERGE group about her research titled “Political Risk Assessment in Czech International Firms”. The seminar included a presentation of Hana’s research results, where an introduction to the area of political risk behaviour of companies in international business was provided, alongside a description of the methodology of the research.
Given the low standard of political risk assessment function, a new concept was developed by introducing a number of various determinants explaining in more detail the PRA adoption decision in Czech international firms. These determinants would allow the introduction of secondary data analysis into the analysis of the institutionalisation of political risk assessment, which also contributes to the methodological side of this field.
