University hosts the ASBCI Student Conference 2013

Keynote speaker Colin McDowell MBE

The University of Huddersfield have hosted the annual Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry Student Section Conference 2013. Entitled “Fashion Perspectives”, the event was extremely successful and was attended by ASBCI members from all over the country.

The Keynote speaker for the event was University of Huddersfield Honorary Doctorate and British Fashion Writer, Journalist and Historian Colin McDowell MBE.  Other speakers included Mark Batty, International Sales Manager for Asos.com; Susanne Baldwin, Senior Lecturer at the London College of Fashion; Paschal Little, Head of Innovation and Quality (Lingerie/Beauty) for Marks & Spencer; Mike Spenley, Head of Ethical Trading at the Shop Direct Group; Graham Jones an Internet Psychologist; and Ed Gribbin, President of Alvanon (USA).
