Tue, 10 Dec 2013 15:30:00 GMT

Booking is now open for Arena 51 which takes place on Tuesday 14 January.  Here is everything you need to know before you book your place:

Why?

To work towards improving processes and performance as set out in the University Strategy.

To ensure that our processes enhance the working experience of our students and colleagues.

Who?

Colleagues who are involved in the administrative processes relating to core University functions such as  teaching, assessment, research, enterprise, finance and regulations.

What we need from you:

  • Your knowledge, expertise, ideas, enthusiasm and willingness to help us move forward.
  • We want you to attend because you are involved in the work already and know what you are talking about.

What’s in it for you…us... the University?

An opportunity to:

  • work with different colleagues from across the university
  • be heard
  • contribute
  • share great practice
  • develop new ideas relating to the operation of our core processes
  • challenge the status quo and ultimately:
    • develop more effective processes that benefit our students
    • reduce admin for academic colleagues
    • foster better cross campus collaboration

How?

We’ll get together and use the “Open Space” approach (a place to have useful conversations about things that matters) to generate ideas for discussion from the group that turns up. You can propose and lead a session, contribute to other sessions or move from connected sessions sharing ideas.
