ABOUT
Exhibition / Installation

Bizarro II (Temple Alive with Light)
Following on from ‘Bizarro’ a site-specific interactive installation for the Creative Arts Building at the University of Huddersfield in 2012, Bizarro II (Temple Alive with Light) features a new collaboration involving students and graduates from BA(Hons): Graphic Design, Illustration, Mutli-Media and Costume Design, all of who are eager to push the concept one step further.

As the viewer enters the neon soaked temple, he/she is transported into a world of Illuminated live drawing and sonic exploration, all of which is controlled by a small colony of futuristic MIDI-synced, Crim Collective Androids. Bizarro II (Temple Alive  with Light) is a living example of a transdisciplinary approach to art and design related practice. It celebrates a student research culture and offers the artists and designers of the future a platform to experience the progressive nature of an art and design education and re-examine the possibilities and diversity of festival participation.

Warning
All Bizarro II visitors may come into contact with the Crim Collective Androids. If so, this may result in a small contribution: group discussion or a friendly conversation. Crim Androids are kindly creatures and just want all visitors to enjoy themselves and look forward to making new friends. In return 500 visitors will receive a very limited edition Crim Collective x Beacons Festival tourist pack commemorating this special event.
