university-of-malaga ‌Dean and Director of FEGReG, Professor Chris Cowton, has been sharing his expertise with two universities in Andalucía in Spain.  His first lecture, at the Santander Chair at the University of Malaga on 14th March 2013, provided a high-level analysis of the relationship between business ethics and governance.  The next day he led two sessions at the University of Granada.  The first, open to staff from across the University, addressed the question of how to publish in refereed academic journals, drawing on his wide experience as an author, reviewer and Editor of Business Ethics:  A European Review.  The second was a conversation-style seminar on research in financial ethics and governance, attended by researchers not only from Granada itself but also from Cadiz.

Professor Chris Cowton Commenting on his trip, Professor Cowton said:

I’m grateful to Professor Cristina Quintana-García (Malaga) and Professor Pedro Francés-Gómez (Granada) for their kind invitation to speak.  We all know the challenges that Spain is facing at the present time.  I hope that my input, in some small way, will help support them in making their contribution to building sustainable business and financial institutions in Spain.
