The Students' Union is pleased to announce that Rebekah Smith will be the new Chief Executive Officer at Huddersfield Students' Union, and will be joining the SU in August following the completition of her current tenure as Director of Development at Leeds University Union.

Rebekah said,"I'm really delighted to be joining Huddersfield Students' Union as the Chief Executive. I've spent the last six years as a Director at Leeds University Union, and came into the sector as £9k fees were being introduced and students expectations developed and changed as a result. Whatever the changes, the most important thing for me is to make sure students have a meaningful voice and actively engage in their education and the wider student experience, and I'm looking forward to working with the University to make sure this is the best it can be."

Dave Butcher, on behalf of the Board of Trustees at HSU (as Chair), would like to congratulate Rebekah on her appointment and will welcome her warmly when she joins the team this August.
