IT Staff Notice

Fri, 03 Jun 2016 13:31:00 BST

University staff are currently receiving emails that appear to be sent from the University of Huddersfield inviting them to a staff meeting.  Previously, staff (along with those at many other institutions), have also received emails that appear to be sent from their home email domain (such as hud.ac.uk) which have also not been genuine.

Please do not regard these emails as genuine and do not respond to any requests to enter password details or open attachments that will install malware and subsequently compromise staff logon and email accounts.

You are advised to delete these emails.

If you have already opened one of these emails and clicked on any of the links or opened an attachment or if you want any further information and guidance please contact: it.support@hud.ac.uk

For further information about SPAM and how to notify any SPAM mail to Computing and Library Services please follow this link: https://www.hud.ac.uk/staff/it/staffemail/managingjunkmailspam/
