Bird watching walks in Huddersfield

The Huddersfield Bird Watching Club is hosting a series of bird watching walks and events for students and staff at the University of Huddersfield. The events are organised throughout Huddersfield in association with the Education for Sustainable Development Forum at the University of Huddersfield and Sustrans.

Wednesday 16 September, 1.00pm to 2.00pm

Lunchtime bird watching walk at the University of Huddersfield campus with Steve Cook. This walk will be of one hour duration and if you have binoculars please bring them. Meet by the Harold Wilson reception desk.

Wednesday 7 October, 4.00pm to 6.00pm

Evening bird watching walk at Blackmoorfoot Reservoir with Mike Denton. This walk will be approximately two hours in duration. Meet at Blackmoorfoot Reservoir – grid reference SE099123. Meet at the inflow channel along the south bank of the Reservoir. There is parking available along the track towards the inlet.

Sunday 15 November, 9.00am to 11.00am

Morning bird watching walk with Chris Abell. The walk will begin at the University of Huddersfield campus and then will proceed along the canal and Longley Nature depending on time availability. The walk will be about two hours in length. Meet by the Harold Wilson reception desk.
