University Mental Health and Wellbeing Day

Wellbeing and Disability Services, in conjunction with the School of Human and Health Sciences, are holding an event to help celebrate University Mental Health and Wellbeing Day on Wednesday 18 February.

According to the Mental Health Foundation every year one in four people will experience some kind of mental health problem, with mixed anxiety and depression being the most common mental disorder in Britain.

From 11.30am to 2.30pm free tea (and cake, for a small donation) will be available on level 4, Student Central, with external organisations and University staff on hand to talk and provide information to anyone worried about mental health and other issues.

Everyone is welcome to attend the event which has been organised by David Keegan from the Wellbeing Service.

In addition, Silver Linings Playbook, a film based on the subject of mental health will be shown in the Wellbeing and Disability Workshop, level 4, Student Central at 5.30pm.
