National Student Volunteering Week, 23 February - 1 March

National Student Volunteering Week takes place on Monday 23 February until Sunday 1 March and students and staff are invited to take part. During the week there will be a variety of events taking place such as a Volunteering Fair, volunteering opportunities and a volunteering and careers workshop.

This year there will also be the opportunity to help the Students’ Union accomplish a record food donation attempt. On Friday 27 February students and staff will be able to contribute to the donation drive by donating as much imperishable food as they can that will be donated to local foodbank, The Welcome Centre. The main collection point for the day will be based at the entrance to Student Central.

Monday 23 February, 10.00am to 3.00pm - Volunteering Fair

Wednesday 25 February, 12.30am to 3.30pm - The Knitter Natter Taster Session (Give it a Go)

Friday 27 February, all day event - Record Attempt Food donation drive

Friday 27 February, 11.00am to 12.00pm- Volunteering Inspirational Speaker

Friday 27 February, 12.00am to 1.00pm - Volunteering and Career planning

Saturday 28 February, 9.30am to 3.30pm - Students at the Heart of Hud 

Sunday 1 March, 10.00am to 1.00pm - HarvestHud Taster Session (Give it a Go)
