Welcome to our new students

We want to provide all our new and returning students with a warm Huddersfield welcome.
Our iPoint welcome helpers will be located around campus for the first two weeks of term from week commencing Monday 21 September. They’re here to help you if you can’t find a building or room on campus, need any tips and advice on student life or advice on which services to go to for what! Whatever your query they will do their best to help you or point you in the right direction. We will also be sharing some handy tips and advice on social media using #hudwelcome if you want to join in the conversation.
The iPoint team is available all year round and they are based in Student Central. They can help you with a range of services including:
- Walking you to buildings/rooms/departments on campus
- Replacing your student ID card if it is lost, stolen or broken
- Providing a letter so that you can apply for exemption from paying council tax
- Providing a letter to help you apply for a bank account
- Providing a general letter to confirm that you are a student here
- Change of address
- Changing your personal details
- Basic help with financial matters
- Pointing you in the direction of more specialist support and advice available across the University.
